Project Spotlight: Fast Family Fiberglass Pool in Lehi
Project Spotlight: Fast Family Fiberglass Pool in Lehi
Location: Lehi, Utah (Holbrook Farms neighborhood) Pool type: Fiberglass (Latham shell) Size: 14 by 30 feet, with tanning shelf Project budget: $98,000 turnkey Timeline: 5 weeks signed-to-swim
The Challenge
A Silicon Slopes family with three school-age kids signed in early April. They wanted to swim by Memorial Day. The HOA required a complete plan submittal including 3D rendering, materials specification, and equipment placement plan.
Specific goals:
Fast install — Memorial Day swim was the goal
Family-friendly with depth gradient (not too deep for younger kids)
Standard Latham 14 by 30 fiberglass shell with built-in tanning shelf at one end. Depth gradient from 3.5 feet to 5.5 feet — perfect for elementary-age swimmers but enough for adult swimming. Stamped concrete decking in a coordinated tone with the home’s exterior.
Equipment: Hayward TriStar VS pump, Hayward Universal H-Series gas heater, AquaRite salt chlorinator, OmniLogic basic automation, Universal ColorLogic LED light. Manual safety cover.
Construction Timeline
Week 1: Final design + HOA submittal + permit pull
Week 2: HOA approval received (clean first submission), excavation completed
Three things kept this project on its 5-week schedule:
Clean HOA submittal package — approved on first review (this is what kills most fast-track projects)
Standard Latham shell that was already in stock at the manufacturer
Crew availability — we’d reserved their slot in February
What the Family Said
“We thought we’d be looking at next summer when we started. Peak Pools delivered exactly what they promised — Memorial Day swim. The kids haven’t been out of the pool since.” — Holbrook Farms homeowner
